Authorship and contribution policy

Version 1 — 26 September 2026. A person is an author when they have made a substantial scholarly contribution and have approved the version to be published. Advice, status, funding, or friendship do not by themselves confer authorship.

Recognised roles, where useful: conceptualisation, methodology, formal analysis, investigation, data curation, software, validation, writing — original draft, writing — review and editing, supervision, project administration.

Contributions below the authorship threshold are acknowledged. Collaborative affiliation is stated separately from external affiliation.
